LOS ANGELES: Noriyuki "Pat" Morita , the Japanese-American actor who gained fame as the wise Mr. Miyagi in the ‘Karate Kid’ movies and on the television show ‘Happy Days, has died in Las Vegas at the age of 73.

The 73-year-old died at his home in Las Vegas on Thursday of natural causes, his wife Evelyn said.

Born in California to immigrant fruit pickers, he was among the thousands of Japanese-Americans sent to internment camps during World War II.

Morita, who began his career as a comic, rose to fame in TV's Happy Days.

I suppose more people from my younger days; actors, singers and idols alike are beginning to show signs of mortality. Change, is up once again, more prominently as age begins to dawn a heavy realizing burden on you.
